Confidential is recruiting for a Children’s Residential Support Worker in Enfield, North London. You will provide person-centred care to a young person with EBD in a 1-bed home, working to safeguarding standards and care plans.

The role involves building trusted relationships, supporting education and social development, and participating in shift patterns including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and holidays. NVQ3 in Children & Young People’s Workforce is preferred but not essential.

Formación

• Previous experience in a children’s residential home.
• Experience supporting children with EBD and/or challenging behaviours.
• Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond to challenging situations.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to a young person with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
• Build positive, trusting relationships and act as a consistent role model.
• Support the implementation of care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
• Promote the young person’s independence, education, and social development.
• Maintain safeguarding procedures and Ofsted standards.
• Record daily activities, incidents, and progress reports.
• Collaborate with the wider team, external professionals, and family members.
• Participate in shift work, including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and bank holidays.
