Marketing Manager – B2B Publishing / Subscriptions – London

10 Month Maternity Cover Contract (with strong possibility of turning permanent)

To c£45k Basic + Benefits

(hybrid) - c2 days in Central London office per week.

*You must have at least 3 years' B2B Marketing experience within Publishing or Subscriptions products to be considered for this role*

This is an exciting opportunity to a fast growing a market leader in B2B publishing, events and awards as a Marketing Manager on a 10 month fixed term contract to cover Maternity Leave.

Working with the Head of Marketing, you will help develop and deliver the marketing strategy across a portfolio of B2B publishing subscription products (digital and print) and some events (conferences / exhibitions / awards).

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in B2B marketing, with experience in publishing / subscription based products
  • Preferably some experience in events marketing (conferences, exhibitions or awards)
  • Experience working closely with sales / business development functions
  • Good knowledge of customer data analytics and the ability to convert data into meaningful insight
  • Good understanding of SEO principles and strategies
  • Strong experience working with Analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
  • Strong experience with campaign management systems / CRMs - HubSpot CRM ideally
  • Experience optimizing performance across paid, website and email
  • Good knowledge on other acquisition channels and levers (PPC, social – LinkedIn, direct mail, events, list research)
  • IT Literate; MS office, advanced Excel
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Main Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Management: Oversee the execution of promotional marketing campaigns to drive subscriptions, renewals, event attendance, and awards revenue.
  • Database Management: Create segmented lists for targeted messaging, evaluate data engagement and effectiveness, and identify opportunities for new data sources.
  • Email Marketing: Develop, test, and refine email campaigns with compelling, benefit-led copy and clear calls to action.
  • Brand and Design: Manage the design and production of event and advertising materials, ensuring brand consistency and final approval.
  • Website Management: Keep websites up to date, visually engaging, and optimised for SEO/SEM and data capture, while enhancing user experience.
  • Market Research: Monitor market trends to maintain relevant messaging, analyse competitor activity, and explore opportunities for partnerships and valuable data sources.
  • Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams, external suppliers, and partners to ensure quality and maximise return on investment.
  • Digital Marketing: Plan, implement, and optimise digital marketing and social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Measure and report on campaign performance, budget allocation, audience insights, and upcoming initiatives across all channels.
