Job description

For a quarter of a century, the Jellycat family has brought joy, wonder, and playful fun to people of all ages worldwide. Utterly original and in a class of their own, they are among the most loved and collected toys of their kind. Their whimsical expressions, soft fabrics, and charming design contribute to their magical appeal.

As we expand across the UK and EU, we aim to enhance our brand presence and awareness. To support this growth, we offer a 10-month full-time contract for maternity cover in our marketing team, reporting directly to the Global Marketing Director.

Your responsibilities will include both trade and consumer marketing, ensuring consistent brand representation and maximizing sales opportunities.

You will collaborate with the Global Marketing Director, Brand team, Sales Leads, Account Managers, agents, distributors, and customers to deliver marketing tools and execute a comprehensive B2C and B2B marketing and communications program.

This includes, but is not limited to, setting the regional marketing calendar, providing sell-in toolkits, catalogues, POS materials, and executing global marketing campaigns at a regional level.

You will serve as the primary link between the Product Team and the Regional Sales Team, working as ‘one team’ to maximize regional opportunities within brand guidelines.

You'll be:

  • Creating and implementing toolkits for new product collections and capsules, working closely with the brand and creative teams to align all materials with the brand’s vision and values.
  • Producing an annual regional marketing calendar, including seasonal product launches, communication channels, campaigns, and activation plans.
  • Coordinating the production of marketing materials such as toolkits, sales decks, and promotional items, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines across channels.
  • Developing brand presentations for new Jellycat customers, partners, and distributors.
  • Working with sales teams to tailor marketing materials to their needs and sales objectives.
  • Sharing best practices in sales and marketing across key channels and regions.
  • Analyzing market trends and customer insights to inform marketing strategies and optimize campaigns.
  • Collaborating with Social Media and PR teams to align objectives and campaigns.
  • Measuring and reporting on campaign effectiveness, using insights to refine future activities.
  • Identifying future country-specific marketing moments and opportunities.
  • Considering regional and cultural factors within the UK and EU.
  • Maintaining relationships with Jellycat brand partners and retail marketing teams.
  • Managing marketing budgets in collaboration with the Global Marketing Director, ensuring activities stay within financial targets.
  • Leading our UK & EUMarketing Executive.

You'll have:

  • Proven trade and consumer marketing experience in a similar role within a luxury brand.
  • Experience in UK and EU markets, especially in France and Germany.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously within budget and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience producing marketing materials, catalogues, toolkits, and promotional items.
  • A solid understanding of brand guidelines and maintaining consistency across channels.
  • A team-oriented, flexible, personable, and motivated attitude.
  • Fluency or conversational proficiency in French or German is desirable.
