Job Description:

Our client is a successful and profitable engineering business. Staffbase has been appointed to recruit for the position of Project / Manufacturing Engineer.

The Role:

The Project / Manufacturing Engineer will provide technical support and guidance on multiple engineering manufacturing projects.

Your duties include:

• Liaising with clients, design, engineering, and production teams to ensure effective manufacturing of orders
• Producing work instructions and a package of works
• Providing technical support to engineering, design, and production teams
• Producing regular project progress updates and reports
• Monitoring and reporting on project/order progress
• Reviewing supply chain and procurement functions, negotiating cost reductions, and improving service

Candidate:

The candidate should have at least 3 years of project engineering or project management experience in the precision engineering sector.

Familiarity with manufacturing parts for industries such as MOD, Nuclear, Marine, Aerospace, Oil & Gas is required.

Excellent project management skills, competence in ERP/MRP systems, HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, and a CNC engineering background are necessary.

AutoCAD and design engineering skills are advantageous.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week

Salary: £45K - £50K, negotiable
