Job description

Our client is a successful and profitable engineering business, and Staffbase has been appointed to recruit for the position of Project / Manufacturing Engineer.

The Role

The Project / Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for providing effective technical support and guidance on multiple engineering manufacturing projects simultaneously. Your duties will include:

1. Liaising with clients, design, engineering, and production teams to ensure effective manufacture of orders.
2. Producing work instructions and packages of work.
3. Providing technical support to engineering, design, and production teams.
4. Producing regular project progress updates and reports.
5. Monitoring and reporting on project/order progress.
6. Reviewing supply chain and procurement functions and negotiating cost reductions, improved service, etc.

Candidate

The Project Engineer will have at least 3 years of project engineering or project management experience in the precision engineering sector. You will be familiar with manufacturing parts/components for industries such as MOD, Nuclear, Marine, Aerospace, Oil & Gas sectors. You will possess excellent project management skills, be competent in the use of ERP/MRP systems, and hold an HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering. A CNC engineering background is also required. AutoCAD and design engineering skills will be advantageous.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday - 39 hours
