Job description

Siemens Financial Services is seeking an experienced Account Development Manager to join our Vendor Finance team. This role focuses on identifying, acquiring, developing, and managing profitable new business within the soft asset markets. It is a proactive new business position that involves developing relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and vendors.

As a longstanding funder in the soft asset market, we have developed a leading digital offering and continually seek innovation with both new and existing customers. The role is home-based with frequent travel across the Manchester and North-West regions to support client relationships.

What will you deliver?
  • Develop new relationships with clients in sectors such as Telecoms, IT, Smart Devices, Mailroom, and CCTV.
  • Proactively generate new leads through client visits, outbound calls, emails, social media, networking, and trade shows.
  • Create and follow up on a target list for potential new business.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager and Business Development team to identify sectors, products, suppliers, and customers for growth while managing risks.
  • Conduct customer calls and visits to discuss financing needs and sell the benefits of leasing.
  • Hold sales meetings with prospective clients.
  • Deliver sales and product training within the territory to increase product knowledge and penetration.
  • Re-engage existing customers where business has declined.
  • Achieve sales targets aligned with company goals and strategies.
What skills and experience will you bring?
  • Understanding of the financing industry, especially within asset finance or similar equipment sectors.
  • Knowledge of financial products like leases, HPs, and loans relevant to soft asset sectors.
  • Proven track record in client engagement, pipeline development, opportunity qualification, and deal closure.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of leveraging digital platforms for social selling.
  • Experience in new business roles and understanding of key sector assets.
  • High integrity and strong business ethics.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and complex issues.
  • Confidence in negotiating with senior stakeholders.
  • Understanding of sales processes and customer behavior.
  • Good IT skills.
