Account Manager (Chemical Distribution)

Are you a Account Manager or similar from a chemical distribution background looking for an autonomous, home-based role managing key client accounts, with generous remuneration, bonus structure, and excellent work-life balance?

This established, family-run British manufacturer is highly respected within the cleaning chemical industry, known for their vertical integration including dedicated research laboratories, manufacturing capabilities, and strong sales and service teams. Their market presence includes a loyal client base of distributors and wholesalers across the UK.

In this varied and autonomous role, you will manage existing client accounts (70%), introducing new products and providing tailored solutions to client needs. You'll also proactively develop new business opportunities (30%), identifying and cultivating leads from marketing initiatives. Primarily home-based, you'll visit client sites 2-3 days per week, demonstrating products, addressing client requirements, and ensuring continued satisfaction.

This role would suit a Account Manager or similar from chemical distribution or a related field looking for autonomy, responsibility, great remuneration and work-life balance.

The Role:

70% Account Management, nurturing and growing existing accounts

30% New Business Development, proactive outreach and lead conversion

Remote working with regular client visits (2-3 days per week)

The Person:

Account Manager, Business Development Manager or similar

Background in chemical distribution or similar industry

UK Driving License
