Senior Surveyor

Role Purpose

Data centres is the fastest growing sector in real estate as data has become the most important commodity on the planet. CBRE's data centre team is the envy of the industry having carried out some of the most high-profile transactions in the market for some of the world's biggest corporates. Its rapidly growing Capital Markets team have advised on more than €2.3bn of data centre real estate transactions over the last 4 years as well as advising on numerous data centre M&A transactions in countries including France, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, the Nordics, Germany and the UK.

We are looking for a Senior Surveyor to join our growing team as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will be able to manage a busy workload, be comfortable providing strategic advice to clients, competently manage workstreams with minimal supervision and demonstrate previous experience of working on investment deals. Previous data centre experience is not a pre-requisite

What you will be doing:

• Assisting Senior Director and Director in investment brokerage work
• Preparing simple cash-flows and other financial analyses; income analysis and residual appraisals for investment opportunities
• Preparation of investment sales collateral including Information Memorandums and teasers, and also pitch documents
• Managing workstreams and hitting deadlines
• Integrate with contemporaries in target client list
• Assist in the preparation of reports and advice to clients
• Integrate with peer group in the investment agency market and CBRE specialist markets teams
• Demonstrate involvement in high profile instructions and take on more responsibility and day to day management of such

What you will need:

• MRICS qualified
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate tasks efficiently ensuring deadlines are met
• Accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Pro-active and enjoys working both autonomously and as part of a wider team
• Confident and assertive where required
• Understands and appreciates the importance of using discretion
• Team player who deals effectively with colleagues and clients
• Technically competent (i.e. basic cash flow understanding)
• Excellent transaction management skills with some track record
• A willingness to travel short haul across Europe, as required
• Good IT skills (particularly Excel and Powerpoint)
• Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
