Job Description

We have recently secured a number of high-profile retail mandates and are seeking a candidate with relevant market knowledge to join our successful Retail Lease Advisory team.

• This role primarily involves lease renewals, rent reviews, and lease re-gears for shops, bars, and restaurants in Central London and across the UK.
• The responsibilities encompass all aspects of the lease advisory process, including business development, initial advice, rental valuations, regear matrices, report preparation, negotiations, and expert reports for court or PACT if necessary.
• Given the current market trends, lease renewals are increasingly important, often occurring outside the L&T Act.
• A significant part of the role involves agency advice, negotiations, and identifying alternative occupiers to foster competitive bidding, collaborating with our Retail Agency teams when opportunities arise.
• When lease restructuring advice is needed, the candidate should provide insights on investment yields and capital value increases. The role also involves investment advice and supporting subsequent sales or acquisitions, working closely with our Retail Capital Markets team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Lease Advisory is essential, with a preference for retail sector experience, though it is not mandatory.
• Ability to engage at senior levels with excellent stakeholder management skills.
