Job Overview

The service covers the entire county, and candidates should expect to work across various locality areas to meet service demand. We promote flexible working arrangements, including remote work from various bases and from home, as appropriate to provide the best service. However, post holders will be required to chair complex meetings across North Yorkshire and meet with children and their families in person.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver all aspects of the Independent Reviewing Officer guidance
  • Chair reviews and oversee plans for Children in Care
  • Chair Child Protection Conferences
  • Conduct Regulation 44 visits to children’s homes
  • Manage Annual Reviews for Foster Carers
  • Ensure quality assurance and contribute to improved outcomes for children and young people
Qualifications

Applicants must be a qualified Social Worker, hold a Diploma in Social Work (or equivalent), and be registered with Social Work England.
