Skills4 Pharmacy in Brierley Hill is offering a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice role, starting 19/10/2026, with a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship. You’ll support the day-to-day running of the community pharmacy, helping customers and working with the team to ensure safe, efficient service.

The programme blends on-the-job training with classroom learning, typically lasting about 15 months, and will be delivered alongside your role with full training and support provided.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
• Training to be Provided: Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
