Job summary

Skills4Group is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team in Braintree. You will support day‑to‑day pharmacy operations while working towards a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

The role offers hands-on learning with full training, including prescription counter duties, stock handling, and customer service, starting 19/09/2026. No prior pharmacy experience required.

Qualifications

GCSEs in Maths and English preferred but not essential as course can provide them.
Applicants without Maths/English Level 2 must complete initial tests to determine suitability for the course.
Training will be provided via Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.
No previous pharmacy experience required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

Support customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
Assist with the preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.
Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.
