Job summary

GTG Training are recruiting for an Apprentice Heavy Mechanic based in Bishopbriggs. The programme lets you work full time while you learn, earning as you train, with GTG mentors guiding you toward SCQF Level 7 in Heavy Goods and Public Service Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

You must have or expect National 4 or above in English, Maths and a Science/Technical Subject. A full UK driving licence is essential and you should be keen to learn and stay proactive in a practical workshop.

Qualifications

• You must have or expect to gain National 4 or above in English, Maths, and either a Science or Technical Subject.
• Full UK Driving licence is essential.
• You are keen to learn and develop hands-on automotive skills.

Responsibilities

• You will work in a garage workshop on vehicle servicing, MOT preparation and major component removal/replacement.
• Learn diagnostics and repair under GTG mentors and workplace supervisors.
• Attend training centre week blocks and complete the SCQF Level 7 qualification in Heavy Goods and PSV maintenance.
