Job summary

GTG Training is recruiting an Apprentice Mechanic for an independent garage in Fauldhouse. The Modern Apprenticeship Programme blends full-time work with on-site training, allowing you to earn while you learn.

You will gain hands-on experience in vehicle repair and maintenance within a practical workshop setting. During the 3-year apprenticeship you will train through GTG to SCQF Level 7 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, with mentors guiding assessments and progress.

Qualifications

• Must have or expect to gain National 4 or above in English, Maths, and either a Science or Technical Subject.

Responsibilities

• You will be based in a garage workshop and learn all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance, including servicing, MOT preparation, removal, replacement and overhaul of major components and electrical fault diagnostics.
