Job summary

GTG Training are recruiting for an Apprentice Mechanic in an independent garage in Edinburgh. You will work full time, earn while you learn, and train through GTG to SCQF Level 7 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.

During the 3-year programme you will study at the training centre and gain practical experience in servicing, MOT preparation, component replacement and fault diagnostics, with regular assessments and support from mentors.

Qualifications

• National 4 English and Maths required.
• Willingness to learn and proactive attitude essential.
• Driving licence not required but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance within the garage workshop.
• Assist with servicing and MOT preparation.
• Participate in diagnosing faults and replacing or repairing components.
• Maintain safe, tidy work areas and adherence to health and safety rules.
