Job summary

GTG Training is recruiting an Apprentice Mechanic for an independent garage in Fauldhouse. The Modern Apprenticeship Programme lets you work full time while you learn, with week-block training and regular assessments to build practical skills in vehicle repair and maintenance.

During a 3-year apprenticeship, candidates will train through GTG to SCQF Level 7 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, with English and Maths and a Science/Technical subject required at Nat 4 or higher.

Qualifications

• Must have or expect National 4 or above in English, Maths, and either a Science or Technical Subject.
• Strong eagerness to learn practical automotive skills and work safely in a workshop.

Responsibilities

• Learn all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance in the garage workspace.
• Assist with servicing, MOT preparation, removal, replacement and overhaul of components.
• Engage in hands-on tasks under supervision to gain SCQF Level 7 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
