Are you a recent graduate looking for work in education?
Calling all graduates interested in education and school settings!

We are collaborating with a SEMH secondary school in Hulme that supports students with additional needs.

Prospero is seeking graduates to work with pupils from challenging backgrounds. The role begins in September and continues through the academic year.

Your responsibilities will include supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, delivering intervention sessions in maths, and providing intensive support to small groups of learners.

The students you will work with have been removed from mainstream education due to mental health needs or behavioral challenges, requiring extra pastoral, academic support, and mentoring.

You will be supported by outstanding teachers and a highly recognized leadership team.

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

• Degree in Psychology or a relevant field such as Maths, English, Sociology, Criminology, Arts, Dance, Drama, Sports, or a background in Health & Social Care.
• Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
• Experience working with children or young people with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties is essential.
• Level 3 qualification in Education, Childcare, or a related field is desirable but not mandatory.
• A genuine passion for promoting social and emotional well-being, with empathy and patience.
• Ability to handle challenging behavior professionally and resiliently.
• Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and a commitment to student welfare.
• Up-to-date behavior management training (training can be provided).

Eligibility Criteria:

• Right to Work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
• Professional references covering the last 2 years.
