Job summary

Bradley Nursery School, Bradley Road East, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 7QH, is seeking at least two knowledgeable, highly motivated Teaching Assistants to join our friendly nursery team.

You will work with children aged 2-4, support play and learning indoors and outdoors, be a key person, and contribute to assessment under the EYFS. This part-time, term-time role offers pro-rata pay based on full-time equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with nursery aged children (2-4 years).
• Sound working knowledge of EYFS for 2-5 years.
• Ability to nurture, relate and engage positively with children.
• Ability to deliver short group learning activities.

Summary We are looking to appoint at least two knowledgeable, highly motivated Teaching Assistants to join our friendly and welcoming nursery school team. We are looking for a positive, nurturing and reflective practitioner dedicated to ensuring high quality playful teaching both indoors and out. Candidates must have experience of working within an Early Years Setting with children from 2-4 years and will have a sound working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. The successful candidates will work within a supportive, experienced school team and as a keyperson and will be fully involved in the teaching, learning and assessment of children in the class. They will be expected to confidently deliver a range of activities and programmes of work to meet the specific needs of individual children and small groups.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.

Essential Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or above qualification –appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
• Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy

• Experience of the EYFS for children from 2-5 years
• Ability to nurture, relate and engage positively with children
• Ability to effectively deliver short group learning activities
