Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Lewisham, South East London. The role runs full-time, term-time only, 8:30am-3:45pm, starting September or October 2026, with a daily rate of £100-£120.

The position offers a supportive school environment and opportunities for education and training. The candidate will work across Nursery and Reception, assisting with Phonics, Reading and Writing activities.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 or 3 CACHE Qualification in Childcare/ Supporting Teaching & Learning.
• Or hold a Level 6 or degree within childcare or education.
• Understand EYFS curriculum.
• School-based experience or experience in private nurseries.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out phonics, spelling, reading and writing activities.
• Creating a safe, engaging environment for children.
• Assisting with general classroom duties.
• Providing 1:1 and group booster sessions.
• Supporting mild SEN when needed.

A well led and supportive Primary School in the London Borough of Lewisham are looking to recruit an Early Years Teaching Assistant/ Nursery Nurse for either September or October 2026. This is a full time & long term role till at least July 2027. Term time only.

Early Years Teaching Assistant /Nursery Nurse - Your Role:

Early Years Teaching Assistant /Nursery Nurse - Ideal Candidate:
