Job summary

A leading education recruitment firm is seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant/Nursery Nurse for a primary school in London, starting immediately. The position is full-time and term-time only, with hours from 8:30am to 3:45pm, and will last until July 2026. Ideal candidates should hold a relevant CACHE qualification and have experience working with children in EYFS settings. This role offers excellent educational opportunities and potential permanent contracts from July 2026.

Qualifications

An ‘outstanding’ Primary School in the London Borough of Havering are looking to recruit an Early Years Teaching Assistant/ Nursery Nurse for immediate start. This is a full time & long-term post for the whole of the academic year. Permanent contracts are available from July 2026.

Your Role

• Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
• Hours: 8:30am to 3:45pm
• Working across Nursery & Reception
• Carrying out Phonics, Spelling, Reading & Writing Sessions
• Assisting with general classroom duties
• Supporting mild SEN when needed
• Providing 1:1 and group booster sessions

Ideal Candidate

• Hold a Level 2 or 3 CACHE Qualification in Childcare
• Hold a Level 6 or degree within childcare or education
• Have an understanding of the EYFS curriculum
• Have school based experienced ideally or have experience within private nurseries
• Have an enthusiasm about working in EYFS and with children
• Work well as a team
• Good communication
• Eligible to work in the UK
