They are looking to appoint a motivated and reliable teaching assistant for a long-term, full-time temporary contract that will last the rest of the academic year. This role is based within the reception class.

Your new role

As a teaching assistant within this school, you will join an extremely supportive and welcoming team of like-minded professionals. You will work alongside the reception class teacher to provide a stimulating and engaging learning environment for all pupils by building strong relationships, aiding in behaviour management, and utilising a range of learning equipment. You will support the whole class, tailoring your approach to meet individual attainment and physical needs, and taking a pupil-centred approach to education. You will conduct phonics sessions and interventions on a 1:1 and small group basis, implementing positive behaviour strategies. Some pupils may be disruptive or disengaged at times. To address this, you will use positive reinforcement, DOJO, and brain breaks to maintain focus and support learning outcomes.
