Are you passionate about supporting the development of young children? Do you have the patience, creativity, and skills needed to nurture and guide pupils in their most formative years? Axcis Education, a specialist SEND recruitment agency, is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Bristol. These full-time positions (8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday) are for ASAP starts and offer the chance to make a real impact on young children’s lives. Key Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one and group support to children in Early Years, helping them develop social, emotional, and academic skills. • Maintain a structured and nurturing environment where children feel safe and supported. • Engage children through creative activities, such as play, art, music, and storytelling, to make learning fun and interactive. • Assist with classroom management, encouraging positive behaviour and helping children follow routines. • Collaborate with teachers to support children’s individual needs and development plans. • Help children develop independence by encouraging self-help skills like tidying up and dressing themselves. • Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed. What We’re Looking For: • Patience and Empathy: You will be working with young children, some of whom may face additional challenges, so a calm and understanding approach is key. • Creativity and Enthusiasm: We need TAs who can inspire children through imaginative and engaging activities. • Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with young children, teachers, and other staff is essential. • Adaptability and Flexibility: Every day in Early Years is different! We need candidates who can respond to changing needs and work in a dynamic environment. • Teamwork: You’ll be working closely with class teachers and other staff members to ensure the children’s needs are met. • Experience in Early Years or SEN Settings: Previous experience working with young children or those with Special Educational Needs is desirable, though not essential.
