Early Years Teacher

Location: Peterlee

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time

Inspire Young Minds as an Early Years Teacher!

Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic and experienced teachers to join our excellent primary schools in Peterlee. If you’re passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and young adults, this role is for you! Applications from ECTs are welcome, and there will be opportunities to complete part of the ECT qualification while in the role. There are opportunities across KS1 and KS2, depending on the preference and experience of the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Planning and teaching engaging and informative lessons that inspire pupils and enable all pupils to make progress.
  2. Building positive relationships with pupils and teaching assistants to create excellent learning environments.
  3. Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive, and consistent manner.
  4. Differentiating lessons appropriately to suit the needs and learning styles of all pupils.
  5. Using varied methods of assessment to monitor pupil progress.
  6. Displaying high levels of enthusiasm, energy, and positivity when working with children.
  7. Working effectively with teaching assistants to ensure children receive the best possible educational experience.
Key Requirements:
  • An Enhanced DBS (preferably on the Update Service, but we can process a new one if needed)
  • QTS and primary teaching experience
  • Experience with short, medium, and long-term planning
  • Experience utilizing a range of assessment methods to monitor pupil progress
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to build rapport
  • A positive and resilient attitude towards teaching and work
  • Experience teaching within the UK
  • A genuine passion for teaching
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • A commitment to continuous professional development (CPD)
