Job summary

Aspire People in Manchester and surrounding areas is actively seeking qualified Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support phonics and early learning across EYFS and KS1. The role centers on helping younger pupils develop essential reading and writing skills, and confidence.

Candidates should hold a recognised Level 2 TA or equivalent, have UK school experience within the last two years, and be patient and nurturing.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• UK-based school experience within the last two years is required.
• Experience supporting primary-aged children in EYFS/KS1 is desirable.
• Patient, encouraging and nurturing approach is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support phonics and early reading activities.
• Help pupils develop letter recognition and early literacy skills.
• Assist with basic numeracy and classroom activities.
• Provide individual and small-group support.
• Encourage confidence, communication and independence.
• Support play-based learning and classroom routines.
• Work closely with class teachers.
