Job summary

Colton Primary School in Leeds is seeking a calm and compassionate Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a friendly team on a fixed-term basis until 31 August 2027. The role is term-time plus 2 training days, part-time 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with potential wraparound care hours.

You will support young children’s learning and wellbeing in our Early Years provision, helping them build confidence, curiosity and foundational skills through play and exploration.

Qualifications

• Calm and compassionate approach to supporting early years learners.
• Experience or aptitude in working with young children in an educational setting.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning, development and wellbeing in the Early Years.
• Help create a nurturing, engaging environment where learning happens through play.
• Support the school team and potentially wraparound care before/after school when required.
