Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment in Chorley is seeking an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to support children with SEND in a specialist complex needs nursery. You will work 1:1 and in small groups, assisting with learning, play, communication and daily routines, promoting independence and inclusion in a nurturing environment.

This is a temporary, full-time role through Axcis Education Recruitment to meet the nursery's staffing needs; a DBS check will be required in line with safeguarding

Qualifications

• At least 6 months' experience supporting children in an Early Years or nursery setting.
• Experience supporting children with a range of SEND including autism, ADHD, SLD, PMLD or other complex needs.
• Right to work in the UK and availability Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm during term time.

Responsibilities

• Support children with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups within the nursery's complex needs provision.
• Assist with learning, play, communication, personal development and daily routines to promote independence and inclusion.
• Work closely with the Early Years team to create a positive, engaging and supportive environment for every child.
