Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking compassionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils with complex SEND in a Camden primary school from September. The role is full-time, long-term, and starts with a September start, offering training and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience in care roles such as Carer, Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant is valued.
• Calm, patient, empathetic and resilient approach.
• Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a specialist educational setting.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Support primary-aged pupils with complex SEND on a 1:1 and small group basis.
• Assist with communication, sensory activities and personalised learning programmes.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and the broader multidisciplinary team.
• Help create a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment.
• Support pupils with social, emotional and personal development throughout the day.
