Job summary

Manor Way Primary Academy seeks a proactive Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 five days a week. You will work under the direction of the class teacher, supporting learning activities, behaviour management, and inclusion.

You will contribute to planning and delivering lessons, adapting activities to students' needs, and monitoring progress. The role offers development opportunities within Windsor Academy Trust and a collaborative school community.

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals or small groups under direct supervision of teaching staff
• Support pupils with special educational needs and those for whom English is not their first language
• Implement planned learning activities and adjust to students' responses
• Support behaviour management and academy policies
• Assist with eating, dressing, and hygiene as required
• Maintain students' interest and motivation
• Support development of individual development plans and feedback progress to teachers
• Be aware of student problems and report to the teacher
• Encourage independent learning and inclusion of all students
• Support learning activities by planning, evaluating, and delivering activities
• Prepare resources and displays for lessons
• Accompany staff on visits and supervise students on trips
• Monitor and record student progress and achievement
• Provide regular feedback to teachers on student progress
• Engage with parents to enhance learning
• Promote good student behaviour and report incidents
• Assist with routine tests and invigilate exams
• Support ICT use in learning and develop student competence in it
• Monitor and manage classroom stock and supplies
• Contribute to academy ethos and participate in PD and meetings
• Comply with safeguarding, equality, health and safety policies
