Early Years Teacher Autism (ASD) Lambeth Paid to Scale Temp to Perm

We are working on behalf of a well-regarded specialist SEND primary school in Lambeth, which is seeking a passionate and experienced Early Years Teacher to join their team. This is a full-time position offered on a temp-to-perm contract, with pay in line with teacher pay scale.

The Role


As the Early Years Teacher, you will lead a class of 6–8 pupils, all of whom have a diagnosis of Autism (ASD). The class includes a mix of verbal and non-verbal learners, with two pupils able to read and write to a good standard. You will work alongside a skilled team of Learning Support Assistants to deliver structured, engaging, and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.

The successful candidate will:
- Have a strong understanding of Autism and early childhood development
- Provide a structured, consistent learning environment with clear routines
- Use a range of communication and teaching strategies, including PECS and Attention Autism
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that supports each child’s individual needs
