Job description

Early Years SEN Teacher required for a Specialist School in Surrey.

TLTP are recruiting for an SEN Teacher to teach students with learning difficulties in a specialist school in Surrey.

This role involves teaching entry level/functional skills level 1 & level 2 to low level learners across 2 sites.

This specialist school caters to students aged 2-19 with complex needs, including MLD/SLD/PMLD, ASD, and/or additional needs. Located in Wallington, it provides tailored education for a range of SEN needs.

To apply, you will need to have QTS and some SEN experience, ideally:

• The teacher will be responsible for the progress of all pupils in their specialism.
• The teacher will coordinate the work of a team of SEN TAs and provide direct teaching to meet the needs of the class and pupils.
• Adopt a holistic approach to pupils, using a range of social care and teaching strategies to meet their needs while promoting interest, safety, and well-being.
• Deliver pupil-focused and creative lessons according to an agreed timetable.
• Provide opportunities for pupils to experience and understand English in various contexts.

Teachers must have:

• A commitment to the development of both themselves and their pupils.
• QTS qualification.
• Ability to deliver outstanding teaching and learning within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience of leading in your subject area with clear strategies to achieve exceptional progress.
• The ability to ensure pupils fulfill their potential, with high expectations.
• A calm demeanor and a sense of humor under pressure.
• A commitment to safeguarding children.
