Job summary

Linwood School’s Littlewood Campus in Poole seeks Teaching Assistants to join a permanent team. The role is 30 hours per week, term-time plus inset days, with a pro-rated salary in Band 5 (£20,122 - £22,190). Applicants should support children with special educational needs and follow individual care and medical plans.

Training will be provided; a DBS check is required. The campus focuses on early years provision, autism support, and developing independence for children aged 3–8.

Qualifications

• Experience with children with learning difficulties or autism is desirable but not essential.
• Willingness to work term-time schedule with some additional hours.
• Ability to follow individual care and medical plans and support with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Support students in daily activities and learning across the Early Years provision.
• Assist with intimate/personal care and hygiene as required.
• Administer medications in line with school policy after training.
• Follow care plans and promote independence and total communication strategies.
