Job summary

Linwood School is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants for Linwood Campus (Winton) in Bournemouth. The role is 30 hours per week for 39 weeks per year (term time plus inset days). Some positions may require more hours, with a minimum of two full days.

The role involves supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including PMLD and autism, and requires commitment and resilience. Commencement will be at the starting point of the BCP Salary Band 5 (£20,122 - £22,190) pro-rated

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with children and young people with learning difficulties and/or social communication difficulties is desirable but not essential.
• Resilience is a key personal quality for the role.

Responsibilities

• Toileting and personal care for students with PMLD as needed.
• Assistance with eating and drinking.
• Administering medication when required.
