Job summary

Nexter Ltd is recruiting a Recruitment Consultant for the Permanent desk focused on Early Years / Childcare in the Batley area. You will own the full process from briefing to placement, engaging nursery clients and candidates and driving hard-to-fill hires.

Work alongside an experienced leadership team with an uncapped commission scheme, real progression, and on-site parking at the Birstall office. This role rewards outcomes and talent development within a growing childcare recruitment practice.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in full-cycle recruitment or high-volume sourcing (agency or contingency).
• Ability to source and engage passive candidates.
• Strong phone-based outreach and rapport-building skills.
• Commercial focus with ability to convert interviews into placements.
• Experience or knowledge in Early Years / Education / Healthcare is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and engaging qualified Early Years practitioners using proactive headhunting and multiple channels.
• Conducting phone/video interviews, assessing fit and notice periods, and managing timelines.
• Taking detailed briefs from nursery managers and coordinating interview feedback and placements.
• Marketing high-calibre candidates to nursery groups within commuting distance.
• Maintaining clean candidate records and pipelines in our ATS.
