Nexter recruits great nursery staff for great nurseries.

We're Nexter.co.uk, a specialist recruitment agency supporting private day nurseries — in West Yorkshire and now across London. We're a small, focused team with clear structure and real momentum, and we're looking for an organised, people-smart coordinator to run our London desk from our Birstall office.

The role

You'll be the day-to-day engine of our London desk — and the daily relationship touchpoint for London nurseries. You'll be the voice they know, the person who picks up, and the reason they keep coming back. Our London-based Business Development Manager handles client visits and new business meetings; your job is the desk.

Your day will be a mix of:

Bookings & temp coordination

• Daily ring rounds to temp staff — capturing availability and filling shifts
  
• Taking and confirming booking requests from nurseries quickly
  
• Keeping the temp pool healthy so you're never scrambling to fill a shift
  

Candidate work

• Advertising roles, screening applicants, and conducting registration interviews
  
• Building strong relationships with your temp team
  

Client relationship building

• Daily outbound calls to nurseries — introducing Nexter, re-engaging quiet accounts, and building relationships
  
• Identifying opportunities and passing new business leads to the Business Development Manager
  
• Logging all activity in our CRM (Zoho) so nothing gets lost
  

This is a busy desk with genuine momentum. You'll need to be comfortable with activity and pace, but you'll also see real impact week to week.

Requirements

What we're looking for

You need to be:

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail

• Someone who enjoys structure and variety in equal measure
  

It helps if you have:

• Recruitment, resourcing, sales, or call-handling experience
  
• A background in education, childcare, or care staffing
  
• Any account management or business development experience
  
• Familiarity with CRM systems (Zoho or similar)
  

Early years or nursery sector experience is welcome but not essential — we'll teach you the sector. What we can't teach is reliability, warmth, and genuine interest in building client relationships.
