Job summary

Class Act is seeking Early Years Practitioners for day-to-day supply across Oxford and surrounding areas. You will support learning and development for children aged 0–5, help plan engaging EYFS activities, and maintain a safe, inclusive learning space.

DBS checks are required or obtainable; experience with nursery settings is preferred. The role pays weekly through PAYE, with benefits such as discounted shopping, travel offers, gym memberships, and more, reflecting a flexible and rewarding

Early Years Practitioner – Day-to-day supply from as soon as possible

These flexible opportunities are ideal for Early Years Practitioners who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different nursery and school settings in Oxford and the surrounding areas.

Duties as Early Years Practitioner:
  • Support the learning and development of children aged 0–5
  • Assist with planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
  • Observe and record children’s progress and contribute to learning journals
  • Support children with personal care routines and hygiene
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support each child’s development
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and inclusive learning space
Ideal Early Years Practitioner:
  • Relevant Early Years qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Early Years Education)
  • Experience working with children in nursery or early years settings
  • A warm, caring, and patient approach to supporting young children
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A flexible and proactive attitude to working across different settings
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All candidates registering with Class Act are subject to safeguarding checks in line with the DfE’s statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education, including reference checks and an Enhanced DBS check either registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Your salary – dependent on experience – is paid weekly through PAYE – that means no self-employed or umbrella companies.
