Job summary

Class Actis is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to support children aged 0-5 across Didcot and surrounding areas. This day-to-day supply role offers varied settings and weekly PAYE pay, with safeguarding checks as per DfE guidance.

The ideal candidate has an EYFS qualification and experience in nurseries, with a warm, patient approach and strong teamwork skills to support every child’s development.

Qualifications

  • Clear understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • Experience working with children in nursery or early years settings.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the learning and development of children aged 0-5.

  • Observe and record children’s progress and contribute to learning journals.
  • Support children with personal care routines and hygiene.

  • Maintain a clean, organised learning space.

Early Years Practitioner - Day-to-day supply from as soon as possible

These flexible opportunities are ideal for Early Years Practitioners who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different nursery and school settings in Didcot and the surrounding areas.

Duties as Early Years Practitioner:
  • Support the learning and development of children aged 0-5
  • Assist with planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
  • Observe and record children’s progress and contribute to learning journals
  • Support children with personal care routines and hygiene
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support each child’s development
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and inclusive learning space
Ideal Early Years Practitioner:
  • Relevant Early Years qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Early Years Education)
  • Experience working with children in nursery or early years settings
  • A warm, caring, and patient approach to supporting young children
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A flexible and proactive attitude to working across different settings
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Your salary - dependent on experience - is paid weekly through PAYE - that means no self-employed or umbrella companies.
