Job summary

Bright Horizons East Barnet Day Nursery and Preschool in East Barnet, London, is seeking an Early Years Practitioner for lunch cover Mon-Fri. You will plan, create and reflect on engaging activities tailored to each child’s development in a bright 86-place setting near Arnos Grove and Southgate.

The role requires a Level 3+ Early Years qualification, strong EYFS knowledge, safeguarding expertise, and the ability to build trusted partnerships with colleagues and parents.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS.
• Safeguarding and child protection knowledge.
• Ability to develop trust and strong partnerships with colleagues and parents

Responsibilities

• Plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities tailored to each child toward their development milestones.
• Provide a safe environment that allows children to express themselves and fosters a love of learning.
• Support progress of each child by observing and assessing development.
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support consistent care and learning

Salary – Starting from £28,745.60 / £29,868.80 per annum (Full-time equivalent - Pro-rata'd) (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

We’re looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our East Barnet nursery, located close to Arnos Grove and Southgate stations. This role is for lunch cover working Mon-Fri.

This 86 place setting offers four bright and airy age-specific rooms, with a large outdoor environment for the children to explore, including racing tracks, a vegetable garden, climbing equipment and play trays!

The Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones. You will create a safe environment that allows children the freedom to express themselves, engage their minds, and help to foster a lifelong love of learning.
