Job summary

Kindred Nurseries is seeking an Early Years Practitioner (Nursery Nurse) to join our team in Aylesbury. You will help create a warm, home-from-home environment where children can learn through play and thrive with high-quality care and education.

The role involves supporting the Room Leader, planning engaging activities, observing and recording learning, and communicating with parents. A Level 2 or 3 EY qualification and EYFS understanding are essential.

Qualifications

• A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Good understanding of the EYFS.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude and passion for supporting children’s learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a supportive team to provide exceptional care and education for every child.
• Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can learn through play.
• Support the Room Leader in delivering the highest standards of Early Years care and education.
• Plan and deliver engaging activities that encourage curiosity, creativity and development.
• Build positive relationships with your Key Children, observing and recording their learning and achievements.
• Support children’s individual learning journeys, celebrating their progress and helping them reach their full potential.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers through our Satchel app, face-to-face conversations and written observations.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure Kindred’s policies and procedures are consistently followed.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to create an inclusive, welcoming nursery environment.
• Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and children’s wellbeing at all times.
