Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to support schools across South Manchester on a flexible supply basis. Attendance will be in nurseries and primary settings, with the option to transfer into longer-term roles.

The role requires Level 2/3 Early Years qualifications, a current DBS (or willingness to update), and a valid Right to Work in the UK. DBS checks and safeguarding training are provided.

Qualifications

• Hold Right to Work in the UK; no sponsorship available.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential.
• First Aid qualification is required.
• Enhanced DBS certificate on update service or willingness to process a new application.
• Two professional references covering the last two years including child-related work.
• Appropriate CV history with gaps explained.
• SEN/SEMH awareness desirable; training provided.
• Previous UK school experience preferred, ideally 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Work in South Manchester schools on a flexible supply basis.
• Register with Prospero Teaching and complete safeguarding/vetting checks.
• Support Early Years in nurseries and primary settings as required.

Location: South Manchester (various locations including Wythenshawe, Chorlton, Didsbury, Withington and Longsight) Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm Contract: Temporary (flexible supply) Start: ASAP Pay: GBP92.63 - GBP120 per day depending on qualifications and experience

Early Years Practitioner - requirements

• Hold Right to Work in the UK - no sponsorship available
• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential
• First Aid qualification
• Hold an Enhanced Child DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional references that cover the last two years, including any appropriate child-related work experience
• Appropriate CV history including mention of any employment/studying gaps
• SEN/SEMH Awareness desirable
• Previous experience working in a UK school, ideally up to at least 6 months
• Updated training including safeguarding, prevent and allergy + anaphylaxis training (desirable however not essential as training is provided)
