Job summary

Aspire People are seeking enthusiastic Level 2/3 Nursery Practitioners for Edgbaston settings on a term-time basis. You will deliver high-quality care and learning under the EYFS, support development, and work as part of a supportive team with safeguarding at its core.

This opportunity offers consistent hours during term time, with a focus on creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn and grow. Experience in Early Years is valued.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare - essential.
• Paediatric First Aid - desirable.
• Previous experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting.
• Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
• A genuine passion for working with young children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A caring, patient and positive approach.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A flexible and proactive approach to work.
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning, development and wellbeing of children aged 0-5 in line with the EYFS framework.
• Provide high-quality care and support to children in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Create engaging, stimulating and age-appropriate learning experiences.
• Plan and participate in activities that support children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.
• Recognise and respond to each child's individual needs, interests and stage of development.
• Encourage children's confidence, independence, communication and social skills.
• Assist with planning and delivering activities that promote learning and development.
• Build positive and professional relationships with children, colleagues, parents and carers.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare of all children.
