Job summary

Randstad is seeking a Nursery Practitioner (Level 2 or 3) in Forest Row to join a welcoming early years team. You will work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, supporting children with EYFS activities, tracking progress, and maintaining safeguarding standards.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification, has EYFS knowledge, strong communication skills, and is willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check. Competitive pay and pension are offered.

Qualifications

• Qualification: Full and relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent).
• Experience: Previous experience working within an Early Years setting.
• Knowledge: Sound understanding of the EYFS framework, child development, and safeguarding procedures.
• Attributes: Excellent communication skills, a warm personality, and a genuine passion for early education.
• Requirements: An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) and satisfactory references.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Key Person, building strong, trusting relationships with children and their families.
• Plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate activities that align with the EYFS framework.
• Observe, assess, and track children's progress to support their individual developmental milestones.
• Ensure high standards of safety, hygiene, and safeguarding at all times.
• Work collaboratively with team members to foster a warm, inclusive, and stimulating setting.
