Job summary

West Monkton Church of England Primary School is seeking a qualified Nursery Practitioner to join Little Herons Nursery. The role requires NVQ Level 2 in Childcare/Early Years and a commitment to high-quality, stimulating early years learning for our youngest children.

You will monitor development, communicate with parents and outside agencies, and adapt to the needs of the children. The position offers a permanent contract, 30 hours per week, with closing date 15 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Qualified NVQ Level 2 in Childcare/Early Years.
• Knowledge of OFSTED Standards and Inspections.
• Excellent knowledge of EYFS.
• Demonstrate drive towards absolute excellence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality childcare in a safe and caring environment for children as young as 2 years old.
• Monitor key children's development.
• Ensure effective communication with parents, professionals and outside agencies.
• Be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the children and the setting.
