Job summary

Nala Recruitment are seeking a Nursery Practitioner for a welcoming and supportive nursery in Chelmsford. The role offers a permanent contract, full-time hours (40 per week), and a competitive hourly rate.

You will provide a safe and stimulating environment, support children’s development with age-appropriate activities, and work closely with colleagues, parents and the wider team to ensure high standards of care. Immediate start (ASAP) is available.

Qualifications

• Early Years qualification Level 2 or 3 is desirable/required depending on role.
• Previous nursery/EYFS experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children.
• Supporting learning and development through age-appropriate activities.
• Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Supporting planning and delivery of engaging activities based on children’s interests and development.
• Observing and recording children’s progress and contributing to their learning journeys.
• Ensuring children’s health, safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Supporting children with personal care needs where required.
• Working as part of a wider nursery team.
• Adhering to the nursery’s policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements.
• Creating an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.
