Job summary

TeacherActive are partnering with a well‑equipped all‑year‑round nursery in Chelmsford to hire a dedicated Nursery Practitioner on a permanent basis. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday, with hours from 8:00am to 6:00pm and a salary from £14.25 per hour.

You will join a supportive team, working in different rooms as needed. Ongoing training and development are provided to help you progress within the Early Years sector.

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare.
• Understanding of EYFS and children's development.
• Safeguarding knowledge and promoting children's welfare.
• Ability to plan and support engaging activities to encourage learning.

TeacherActive are currently working in partnership with a fantastic all-year-round nursery in Chelmsford who are looking to welcome a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to their team on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified Nursery Practitioner to join a supportive setting that places a strong focus on high-quality childcare, staff development and progression. The nursery is committed to investing in its team and provides ongoing training and development to help staff continue to build their skills and progress within their careers.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will become part of a welcoming and professional team, working across the nursery as required. The specific room and age group will be discussed during the interview process, allowing the nursery to understand your experience, strengths and preferred areas of work.

The Nursery Practitioner role:

• Permanent, full-time position

The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:

• A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare


• Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting


• A good understanding of the EYFS and children's development


• Knowledge of safeguarding and promoting children's welfare


• The ability to plan and support engaging activities that encourage children's learning and development


• Strong communication and teamwork skills


• A warm, caring and enthusiastic approach when working with children


• The ability to build positive relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues


• A commitment to providing high‑quality care and learning experiences


• A genuine interest in developing professionally and progressing within the Early Years sector
