Job summary

Family Adventures Group in Weston-super-Mare is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to deliver high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5, aligned with EYFS. You will work with the Room Manager and the nursery team to support learning, development and wellbeing in a safe, nurturing environment.

The role involves planning activities, observing progress, safeguarding, and building strong relationships with parents.

Qualifications

• Essentials: Level 3 qualification in childcare/early years or equivalent.
• Genuine passion for working with young children.
• Caring, positive and professional approach.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality care, learning and play experiences that support children’s development and wellbeing.
• Create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children.
• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate activities in line with EYFS.
• Observe, assess and contribute to children's learning and development.
• Prepare learning environments, resources and activities to support routines and planned experiences.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety procedures at all times.
