Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to work at a local Primary School in Melksham on a part-time, temporary basis. The role involves supporting across the Nursery unit, including the Baby Room, with hours from 7.30am to 6pm during term time.

A minimum Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification is required, along with experience with primary-aged children and pupils with SEND. The role offers excellent daily rates and term-time flexibility.

Early Years Practitioner (Bank Staff) (Part Time, Temporary)

Melksham

£462.80 - £525 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications )

September 2026 - July 2027

The School and Role

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Early Years Practitioner to work at a local Primary School on a regular basis. Working as part of an established team, the Early Years Pracitioner will be supporting across the Nursery unit in all rooms, including the new Baby Room! You would be helping create a calm, nurturing space where children feel safe, secure and ready to explore. The role would be adhoc depending when cover is required, with hours ranging from 7.30am - 6pm finish time - this is a term time Nursery. Experience working within Early Years would be essential, as well as a minimum Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification. The school has a supportive senior leadership team and can be accessed on public transport.

Requirements

The desired Early Years Practitioner will have;

• A minimum Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification
• Experience of working with primary school aged children
• Experience of working with pupils with SEND
• A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
• An ability to work as part of a team
