Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking an enthusiastic staff member to support learning and development of young children in our Early Learning settings. The role is 14 hours per week, year-round, with shifts across 8am–6pm on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The post is temporary until January 2027 and requires SSSC registration as a support worker with a relevant qualification. The hourly rate ranges from £13.80 to £14.83.

Qualifications

• Must register with the Scottish Social Services Council as a support worker.
• Eligible qualifications listed above or willing to obtain one.
• Experience with young children and communicating with families is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning and development of young children in Early Learning settings.
• Collaborate with the Early Learning and Childcare Team to deliver high-quality services.
