Job summary

Perth & Kinross Council is hiring an Early Childhood Practitioner for Abernethy Primary School on a fixed-term contract up to 12 months. The post involves term-time work in a school-affiliated nursery with 24 children, covering maternity leave until about 1 June 2027. You will care for children aged 3-5 and support their learning in a collaborative team.

Registration with the SSSC is required within 6 months if not already registered; sponsorship cannot be offered for this post.

Qualifications

• Qualification such as SNNEB, NNEB, HNC, SCQF level 7 equivalent or SVQ 3 in Childcare and Education or SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People).
• Must be eligible to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
• Ideally some experience working in a school nursery class.
