Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to join our team on a full-time basis in the UK. You will work across welcoming early years settings, supporting children's learning through play-based activities and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment.

The ideal candidate holds an EY qualification (Level 2/3 desirable), has EYFS understanding, and an enhanced DBS. Competitive hourly rates apply, with long-term, temporary, and permanent opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 desirable).
• Experience in nursery, preschool, or early years setting.
• Understanding of EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
• Caring, patient and passionate about early childhood development.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS via Update Service or willing to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning and development through play-based activities.
• Create a safe, caring and inclusive environment.
• Encourage social, emotional and communication development.
• Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with EYFS.
• Observe, monitor and record children's progress.
• Support personal care needs where required.

The Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will:

• Support children's learning and development through play-based activities
• Create a safe, caring, and inclusive environment
• Encourage children's social, emotional, and communication development
• Assist with planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
• Observe, monitor, and record children's progress
• Support children's personal care needs where required
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

The Ideal Candidate

We are keen to hear from candidates who:

• Hold a relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 desirable)
• Have previous experience working in a nursery, preschool, or early years setting
• Have a sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Are caring, patient, and passionate about early childhood development
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Are committed to creating positive learning experiences for young children
• Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one
