Job summary

Forest Barn Nursery School is seeking a part-time nursery assistant to support children through play-based learning, ensuring their safety and well-being in a nurturing environment.

You will plan activities, observe progress and provide personal care while applying the Storal curriculum and pedagogy daily. Strong communication with families and a compassionate approach are essential to help children flourish.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with all age groups within Early Years settings.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework would be advantageous.
  • Early Years qualification at Level 2, Level 3

Responsibilities

  • Plan activities, observe progress and manage personal care for children.
  • Apply the Storal curriculum and our pedagogy principles daily.
  • Seek learning opportunities in routines such as mealtimes and transitions.
  • Bond with children and their families by engaging in meaningful moments.
  • Deliver high levels of care and empathy, treating every moment as a learning opportunity.

Job description

Nursery: Forest Barn Nursery School, The Barn at Tooks Farm, Great Warley Street, Great Warley, Brentwood, Essex, CM13 3JP

Paid UBER rides from train station to the nursery's location

Hours: Part Time, Monday - Friday (15 hours per week 11.30am - 2.30pm)

Salary: up to £14.46 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Welcome Bonus: £1000

How You’ll Spend Your Time Here

You’ll plan activities, observe progress and manage personal care for children. Applying the Storal curriculum & our pedagogy principles to our children daily.

Whilst seeking out learning opportunities in everyday routines such as mealtimes & transitions. Bonding with your children and their families by engaging in meaningful moments.

You’ll also deliver high levels of care and empathy, with an understanding that every opportunity can be a learning opportunity.

We’d love to talk to you if you have the following

  • Experience of working with all age groups within Early Years settings

  • Early Years qualification at Level 2, Level 3
